John Denver - Rhymes & Reasons / Take Me to Tomorrow / Whose

The late, great John Denver's first four albums for RCA Records, dating from 1969, '70 and '71. He had tasted success as the writer of 'Leaving On A Jet Plane' which was a huge hit for Peter, Paul & Mary, but recording-wise albums and 45s he made for various labels failed to chart. Rhymes & Reasons' made the US Top 200 Albums chart and was a Top 30 album in the UK. The following two albums had limited commercial impact, but the single 'Take Me Home, Country Roads' was a US No. 2 and a Canadian No. 3; taken from 'Poems, Prayers & Promises', the album took off, making both the US and UK Top 20 Albums charts. Digitally remastered and slipcased, and with extensive new notes
